COFFEE IN VENEZUELA

Posted by coffee

Venezuela

The best coffees produced in this rich oil country are those grown practically on the spine of the Andean cordillera de Merida, knowm as Maracaibos. The names of fine coffees in Venezuela areTachira (far western state), Merida, Trujillo, and the town of Cucuta. Venezuelan coffees tend to be delicately light, if not actually thin, slightly winey, and of only moderate acidity, with a rather appealing individual aroma and flavor.
